Achieving Your BIM Level 2 Accreditation

The UK Government has already recognised the benefits of BIM and requires fully collaborative BIM Level 2 as a minimum on all centrally procured government projects. Since this came into effect in April 2016, there has been a huge uptake of BIM and associated digital construction techniques.

That being said, the industry as a whole has a long way to go before becoming BIM ready – so why take the leap and what’s in it for you?

Some of the benefits of BIM and the adoption of digital construction include:

  • Greater cost certainty
  • Collaborative and therefore more efficient working
  • Time predictability via 4D Construction Sequencing
  • Gained efficiencies using coordination and clash detection processes
  • Streamlining of internal processes to reduce time lost during data creation or information management
  • Client engagement via better visual aids and communication
  • End user benefits

BPM Digital are providing support as members of the British Standards Institute (BSI)

The BSI is a leading and internationally recognised accreditation body. They provide assessment and certification for standards ranging from the sought-after Kitemark, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 to more industry specific standards such as BIM Level 2.

As BPM Digital have the experience of developing BIM within Tier 1 organisations and implementing BIM within SME’s, we have teamed up with the BSI as part of their Associate Consultant Programme (ACP). We provide the guidance and support to achieve effective BIM implementation all the way up to gaining the much-anticipated accreditation and Kitemark for BIM Level 2.
